This topic is to pass along notices about the state of the forum or the project. We'll update this topic as we introduce new forums, major component groups, or learn of significant security/functional issues - in hopes of getting you more quickly to the most-common issues that bring people to the forum.

Right now the MPF codebase is functional, but raw - there is limited tooling (just the component template and some examples), and we don't have the metadata-handling components we plan such as logical switches, multiplexors, demultiplexors, or vocabulary translators. So, we're really hoping to get explicit suggestions as to what tools or components would be your highest priorities!

Another key topic will be the languages (or "taxonomies") we use to describe the metadata - for example, we will need to evolve definitions for "face" which can be mapped to "face" from multiple recognizers, so that a Component author looking to just spot a generic "gface" doesn't have to tie themselves to a particular "specific-recognizer-face" label. As we start out, we don't have a stable Appscio-provided taxonomy, so this is another area where the community will really benefit from suggestions and experience reports.

Please use the forum to raise issues or make suggestions; we don't yet have our issue tracker opened up for direct access - that's planned, but we're not sure how to integrate it (Jira) with our site technology (Drupal).
